I'm thinking of doing something early in the Napoleon era but can't decide, to Me once you leave the 18th Century imaginations don't seem very whumsical.

The rhine bund and italy would be ripe for the picking, just as they are 50 years earlier.

There a a few set in the era of empire and colonization, 19th C imagi-nation, which give the gentleman adventurer an opportunity to put on a jolly good show, perhaps declare the state Keynesisia

I agree with Sir Milton. just doesn't seem to work, except in the 18thC and for some reason in the late 20thC..Bongolesia being a good example..

I think it is the introduction of nationalism that makes it seem different.
There are some nice Victorian imaginations but I don't care for the modern ones.
