GVS battle M&R pt.I

played yesterday..190pts of Nouvelle Champage(French), with a good general, bar the way of 170pts of Vandenburgers, played by Affebergers, and bieberhofers and some Habischwald cuirassier,(Prussians.).also ed by a good general..I will let starkadder discuss his strategy..it seemed to me that he wanted to outscout me and flank me with his cavalry force..he outscourted me...so it goes..I set up without a care in the world, the cavalry split equally on the flanks. 8 brigades (3 Grenadier and 5 musketeer) in the middle ..that was it . I had plans of obliquely moving forward with the foot , flanks coverd by the cavalry. I ended up going straight ahead...Left flank cavalry wrecked the entire French Fcavalry, my infantry wrecked most of the front line of the French infantry, right wing cavalry necked some light infantry and a and a brigade of line infantry and were ready to neck one more when it ended..the Frenchh infantry were offering some tantalisng flanks to my very recovered left wing cavalry...but things ended on turn 6..the Prussian lost a brigade of huzzars, and a brigade of grenadiers(sssssob),,and I managed a passage of lines!!! (huzzah) French losses were , from memory 11.5 brigades..
