Austrians or Sardinian's, although tempted by Garibaldi, and a few Italian militia!

most ACW ranges would cover Garibaldi's men!
SCA is a full-contact martial sport where twenty-year-old athletes can routinely get thrashed by forty-year-olds with a big gut and no knees!

Thanks Matt and Doug.
I would be happy to get and paint some 1866 Austrians. The Eureka ones look good! I know that the KuK army wore white uniforms in 1859 but the overcoat was worn in cold weather. In any case, I would want my Austrians to do double service for the Six Weeks' War, so I could take on Doug's Prussians. I also have a number of Bersagliere (unpainted).
The Osprey on Solferino is excellent and I have all the booklets mentioned by Matt. I think that the 'Black Powder' rules would be ideal for this conflict.
I will probably be ready to start gaming this campaign early next year. Cheers, John.

Sounds neat! Keep us posted on how it's coming along. : )

Thanks GP. I have two infantry battalions ready, plus two artillery batteries and the Colonel of the Regiment (as brigade commander). I'm using the Foundry Mexican Adventure range.
