well a good battle is a quick battle..
Played in the Ernesto Guevara room GVS John St annexe, with Impetus Rules
The Vandals out scouted the Army of Britain , which set up with horse archers on their left Artorius magic sword, bucellari, equites armigeri and a unit of well night useless cataphracts on the right and a whole mess of close order infantry behind a wooded steep hill that they couldn't enter ..the troops who could enter it were inexplicably not near it. Quite A Lot Of Germans were on the other side.. Artorius dashed of with his magic sword and his 5 units of cavalry again 9 units of Germans and in turn six got himself captured. His army then retired in good order and the Vandals got very damn drunk..so it goes

Artorius's cunning plan unfolds

and unfolds"missed out on reaching them by that much". with hindsight this can best thought of as something "bad".
Image
it appears them Vandals had a somewhat less cunning plan , but a rather good one all the same..Bingo..6 +3dice against 6dice..
Image
it was them 3 hits that did it..
though the rest of the army diced ts way out of trouble

In the beginning was the pale signature,
Three-syllabled and starry as the smile,
And after came the imprints on the water,
Stamp of the minted face upon the moon;
The blood that touched the crosstree and the grail
Touched the first cloud and left a sign.

well Artorius was quite heroic ..cataphracts slowed him down a bit at THE CRUCIAL MOMENT if he and the armigeri were in front they would have crashed into the stationary goths, got their impetus advantage and...but they didn't quite reach..

Yes, the Ernesto Guevera room of the GVS John St annexe works well
